Catching my breath

Things are finally getting back to normal after the two week long commercial shoot I had at the beginning of January. We were shooting outside in some of the coldest days we’ve had in Austin, TX all Winter. Needless to say there was no frost bite involved and we accomplished photographing a whole lot of adorable dogs. I’ll hopefully be able to share more about this assignment later this year!

I’ve decide to take this here blog in a different direction for the future. I will of course continue to post lots of imagery and news about Nicole Mlakar Photography but I’d like the posts to be a bit more informative and personal. I’ve almost exclusively used this blog to only showcase photo sessions… which is great but it can get a little repetitive. We’ll see how it goes…

No post would be complete without images. Here’s the rambunctious Oliver!

Happy New Year!

I know, I know… we are already 8 days into the near year but I’m still celebrating! This year is already off to an amazing start. I’m shooting a big commercial job for the next two weeks featuring 30 lovely cats and dogs in the Austin area. I can’t wait to be able to share more information with you all because it’s really quite exciting!

Here’s a preview from a shoot I did recently with the lovely Melissa and and her sweet Italian Greyhound, Bibi. Happy New Year!

It’s mid December?!

I know I’ve been seriously neglecting this blog. I WILL get back on track in 2013! You better believe this is on my new year’s resolution list. In the meantime… here’s an adorable picture for you of a handsome Bulldog named Oliver. Many more to come from this guy very soon! Good luck with all the holiday preparations.
