This past Saturday a whole lot of dog lovers came out to the Congress bridge in Austin, Texas for the 11th annual Mighty Texas Dog Walk. The weather was a bit chilly and the sky was overcast, but as far as a dog walk goes you couldn’t have asked for better weather. We might not have won back the Guinness World Record from Britain, but we definitely raised a whole lot of much needed cash for Texas Hearing and Service Dogs. This was my first time at the event and I was not only the “official photographer” but I also had a booth, which my dear husband ran for me. I have never seen so many dogs in one place at one time. I have to admit I was also pleasantly surprised by how well behaved most the dogs were. It seems everyone, including the dogs, were in high spirits. The event ran smoothly, everyone seemed to have a great time and there was ample water for dogs along the entire 3 mile route. I am already looking forward to next year.
Below are a few choice photos from the event.
